More than 400 performers will meet at the Sahuaro Ranch Historic Area this weekend to celebrate the Glendale Folk and Heritage Festival. Folk and bluegrass music, cowboy poetry readings, storytelling and hands-on workshops are just some of the fun that’s in store at the free event.
“Everything we do is to bring the community together and preserve certain aspects of our past,” says Joanna Brace, Glendale recreation specialist. “We’re also celebrating the talent we have in our community.”
According to Brace, this is the 27th year of the event, and though there are always new performers, some are repeats.
When: 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday-Sunday, March 19-20.
Where: Sahuaro Ranch Historic Area, 9802 N. 59th Ave., Glendale.
